Here you will find E-Mails that have been sent to the SEPO Community in Sep 2019. Sent 2019-09-29: Newsletter 2019-10 (simple process) - Hi again all. If you are having difficulty with the process explained in the e-mail below on how to get to the October 2019 Newsletter, HERE is the direct link to THAT Newsletter only. Going forward I will include the direct link to that month's document and also include the instructions below if you want to view any other Newsletters from the past. Sorry to anyone having issues with the original instructions below. Beth Parrish Sunshine Country Club Newsletter Editor E-Mail: 314-960-6710 Sent 2019-09-29: Newsletter 2019-10 Hi All - This is our first Newsletter for the 2019-2020 Winter season. The Newsletter Guidelines can be found here: www.sunshinecountryclub.com/sepo-newsletter-guidelines . The process for distributing the Newsletter to all of you is going to be different ongoing in order to get the info to you timely and in a format where you can see all of the effort that has been put into several of the articles sent to me by your Sunshine neighbors. And everything will be in COLOR. Of course, the Newsletter will still always be available via print in the Sunshine Library. The primary difference is that - instead of typing the Newletter in this e-mail (and you not being able to see any of the pictures contained in the Newsletter) you can find the document here: www.sunshinecountryclub.com/sepo-newsletter-2019-2020 . You will see that it is available in both WORD and PDF documents. If you have the software to open the WORD document, you will be able to click on any 'links' that are contained in the document. If you can only open the PDF document, you will need to copy and paste 'links' that are contained in the document. Also note that going back to October 2018 all published Newsletters can be found on the Sunshine Web site here: www.sunshinecountryclub.com/sepo-newsletters-overview-1 Hopefully, this change will be acceptable by all of you. If anyone is vehemently opposed, please contact me and we can discuss. Thx so much for giving this process a try. And I can't wait to see all of my TX friends soon. It is in the Library. Toys For Tots – is the premier community action program sending a message of hope through the gift of a new toy to help bring the joy of Christmas to the less fortunate children. The mission is to collect new toys each year and distribute these toys as Christmas gifts to these children in our community. The Harlingen Police Department becomes familiar with these families, currently is collecting toys and hereby requests if anyone at Sunshine can please donate a gift ($10.00 or so). They (HPD) are waiving the “unwrapped” part since the Harlingen PD is most familiar with us thru NW & CERT and wrapping would be handy – just put GIRL/BOY and AGE __yrs. on the gift – visibly on the bottom. Sent 2023-06-07: Gift Baskets for 2024 Good Neighbor Day Golf Tournament (GNDGT) - Good Neighbor Golf Tournament 2024 Thursday, February 29th through Saturday, March 2, 2024 Gift Baskets Hello Sunshine Estates friends: As you may recall, as part of our Good Neighbor Day Golf Tournament’s Awards Banquet we have provided unique prizes provided by our Residents. This letter is to help remind you, while you are “back home in the northlands" , to consider maintaining this tradition for our 2024 Tournament. We are soliciting your help in continuing to prepare “Gift Baskets” of items found locally in your area during your summer stay. We suggest selecting things that set your home area apart from others. These gift baskets will be awarded as prizes during our Awards Banquet. I am aware of several recipients in the past of these unique gift basket prizes, who have indicated how blessed they were to receive these baskets, and they genuinely appreciated Sunshine Residents’ generosity. In our 2023 Awards Banquet, one of the people who received a Gift Basket in the prior year donated a beautiful quilt made by his wife to pay it forward. For example, I most recently lived in Lafayette, Louisiana. So, I will put together a basket of “Cajun items”; seasoning, rice, Tabasco/hot sauces, Beignet mix, cookbooks, and locally brewed beer/wine for our gift basket. Just think of items your area is famous for and start accumulating them to bring back with you. We want the baskets in the $30-$50 value range. By preparing the baskets we are also providing a showcase for various products that are in North America where Sunshine Estate residents live during the summertime. I hope to see everyone in the Valley in a few months.
