Sent 2026-10-09: Asphalt (Reclamite) treatment of SEPO Roadways begins Monday, October 12, 2026 by Pavement Restoration, Inc -
Dear SEPO Residents,
SEPO will begin our Reclamite road preservation project on Monday, Oct. 12, with work expected to continue through Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026.
The contractor’s project notice and projected completion plan, which shows the anticipated order of work throughout the community, can be found at this LINK. Please note that the schedule may change based on weather, road conditions, or the contractor's progress.
What is Reclamite?
Reclamite is a pavement preservation treatment designed to rejuvenate and protect our existing asphalt roads. Rather than waiting for the pavement to deteriorate to the point that major repairs or resurfacing are required, this treatment restores flexibility to the asphalt and slows the effects of aging, weather, and oxidation.
The treatment is projected to extend the useful life of our roadways by approximately five years or more, helping SEPO protect the significant investment we have already made in our streets and delay the need for more costly road replacement or resurfacing.
What Residents Need to Know
Please do not park on the asphalt roadway on Monday or Tuesday, October 12–13. This includes vehicles belonging to residents, guests, contractors, caregivers, service providers, or anyone visiting your home. Keeping the streets clear will help the contractor move through the community efficiently and prevent delays.
As work reaches your street:
-
Please follow any directions provided by the contractor or SEPO.
-
Do not drive or park on pavement that has just been treated until the crew indicates that it is ready for traffic.
-
You may notice a temporary change in the pavement's appearance during and immediately after treatment. This is a normal part of the preservation process.
-
If work remains in your area on Wednesday, October 14, please follow any temporary parking or traffic restrictions still in place.
The contractor will also place door hangers on Sunday morning reminding residents that work will begin the following day. The preprinted contractor notice uses the word “tomorrow” because we will use the same notice for the Sunday door hangers.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping vehicles off the streets and allowing the contractor to complete this project as efficiently as possible.
This preventative maintenance is an important step in protecting SEPO's roadways and extending their useful life while helping the community avoid significantly more expensive repairs in the future.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience during the project.
SEPO Board of Directors
Lisa Seiser
