The cutoff to submit recipes for the Women’s Club cookbook is drawing near. June 1st. If you have not yet submitted a recipe please do so before the deadline. Info on how and where to submit it/them is below. Thanks to all those that have already submitted recipes. We have about 300!     - Cindy Mead   WC President

Please include your name, city and state you are from, and a phone number, in case we need to verify something.

We also need can and box sizes in ounces.

Please email or text me at ellicott@swnebr.net or 308-350-0880. Valerie can also scan your recipes to me. Please make sure I text or email you back to make sure I received your recipes.

Newsletter 2026-03: COOKBOOK COMMITTEE -  

The Cookbook Committee has had its first meeting, with meeting number 2 coming up soon. Our account has been created, design decided upon and a few recipes already entered. We are well on our way! Just a few notes of interest:

​

1. Cookbooks will sell for $15.00 each.

2. There is no limit on the number of recipes you can submit.

3. In the event there are 2 identical recipes submitted, one recipe will be included, with multiple names of the persons submitting noted on the recipe.

4. A recipe box is located on the windowsill in the library, along with note cards to copy your recipes and drop in the box.

5. A pre-order sheet and money box are also located in the library and will be there until the end of the season.

6. You can make a copy of your recipe, if you wish, in the front office and the committee with pay the .10 for the copy.

7. Please include your name, along with your hometown and state on your submitted recipe.

8. Recipes can be emailed to either Cindy Mead: cking59@yahoo.com or Lisa Ellicott: ellicott@swnebr.net.

9. You have until June 1, 2026, to get the recipes to us.

The Cookbook Committee is in the beginning stages of creating our community cookbook. For your convenience note cards and a recipe box has been placed in the library. You can drop off your recipes there. Feel free to submit as many as you like. You are also welcome to email them to me: cking59@yahoo.com. Don’t have your recipes here with you? No worries. The deadline for submissions is June 1. You can send to us when you head back home. More information will be available at the WC meeting this month.     - Cindy Mead
