Painting Club
Newsletter 2026-10:
Sunshine Painting Club started out as a rock painting group. As time passed, interest waned in rock painting and now the club is mainly doing acrylic pour painting which includes canvas painting and functional art.
This year, we have planned four specific classes so far with the rest of the days having open pours. We meet on the first and fourth Monday of the month from 1pm to 3pm in Retzlaff Hall. The following dates are through January 2027:

Classes are tentatively planned as follows:

10/26 will be a Sunflower Dutch Pour.

11/2 will be a Color Theory Class with Gay Paxton and is a “Hands On” Class.

12/14 will be a project with two pieces of art. We will pour over a vase onto a canvas and create a matching set (or two separate pieces) of functional art.

1/25 will be a clock on a wooden base.
