Just an early announcement regarding our 20's Prohibition Speakeasy Murder Mystery to be held Sunday Feb 22nd. I will need 24 people to play characters (male and female). There is a signup in the library specifically for characters. You will be provided with a character card, certain things you have to say (nothing to memorize!) etc. So find a Roaring 20's outfit now! Character cards will be provided closer to the event.

Join us December 19th at 9:00 a.m. at Retzlaff Hall for our holiday Women’s Club meeting. We’ll be talking about upcoming events, community topics, and possibly voting on ideas for community upgrade projects.

 

We’re also having an ugly sweater contest, so wear your best (or worst!) holiday sweater. We already have the awards ready.

 

There will be refreshments, door prizes, and a few surprises. Don’t forget your name tag . If you wear or bring your Women’s Club merchandise, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a door prize!

IMPORTANT INFO CONCERNING SUNSHINE NEWSLETTER 2025-2026

 

I’m sure many of you are busy with your Christmas Holiday plans and festivities!  My wish for this beautiful season is Good Health and Happiness to all our Sunshine Country Club Estates residents, renters, and employees.

 

But, even with the Joy and Celebrations of December, I need to look ahead to preparing our January 2026 SEPO Newsletter (did I just type “2026”???). I am sending out my FIRST REMINDER that the January 2026 Newsletter Articles are due at the end of the day on December 24.  All articles need to be submitted to seponewsletter@gmail.com.  I would love to hear from any group or clubs who are willing to tell us a bit more about your activities and meetings. We also have many lesser-known fun groups that need recognition!  Here is your chance! Remember, even if you don’t have an activity finalized in time for printing, you can always submit a “Save the Date” for the Newsletter!

Come all to golf cart caroling!

Practice on Wednesday Dec 17th, 2:00 in hall. Then on Friday Dec 19th meet at 4:00 at Share Nelson's house (1929 W Indiana Cir) - bring with snacks to share, BYOB. Caroling will start at 5:00.

If you can't make practice no problem, come Friday. The more the merrier.

Please join us for a Christmas Dinner Potluck at Retzlaff Hall. Our theme this year is “Trading Snowflakes for Seashells”. Come join your neighbors for the food and fellowship. Stick around for some crazy games and socializing……..

 

• Cost: $6.00

• Menu: Ham/sauce, coffee - iced tea - lemonade

• We ask that you bring a dish to pass for the potluck.

• Signup sheets and Virtual Ticket Sales will be in the library until Monday, Dec. 22.

• Doors will be open at 12:30 PM. Dinner will be served at 1:00, after the blessing.

Please simply hit 'reply' to the email I sent out earlier and it will automatically go to one of my committee members who is tallying your replies.

Hi All – Knowing how important accurate information in the Sunshine Estates Property Owner (SEPO) directory is, particularly as it relates to the upcoming SEPO election, I need you to verify your data to ensure everyone who should be receiving a 2026 SEPO election ballot packet does indeed receive it.

 

As you’ve been hearing over the past week or so, this is probably one of the most important ballots you’ve ever been asked to vote on. If you haven’t already received it, you will be getting a letter via USPS from the Board explaining what this ballot is all about.

 

First - What the Election Committee needs is for at least one Sunshine Estates Property Owner member (someone eligible to vote) from each household to review the attached directory to ensure your Sunshine address(s) and your AWAY address (if you have one) are accurate. If the address(s) or ANYTHING ELSE needs corrected, let me know.

 

Second – Provide which mailing address (Sunshine or AWAY) you want on the outside envelope of your election packet. Any packets not picked up or hand-delivered to you by Jan 13, 2026 will be mailed to you between Jan 14 & 16 via USPS.
NOTE: If no address is specified in your reply to this email, the election packet will be mailed to your Sunshine address.

 

FYI: We need the same information for those homes that are in an LLC or currently in a Trust.

IN SUMMARY – the Election Committee needs the following info in your reply to this email:

• Are your address(s) correct?

• What address should go on the outside envelope of your election packet?

• Is your ‘other information’ correct?

 

Please reply by noon on Sunday, December 21, AT THE LATEST.
