Sent 2022-07-19: UPDATED: SEPO Directories - by Name, Address & E-Mails - 

On July 6 I had asked everyone to review the SEPO Directories and provide me with any required updates. While I was on vacation last week, I received several and will make sure the office gets those updates as well.

I have uploaded what I consider the updated documents to the Web site HERE.

The new files are Directory sorted by Name and also sorted by Address. And finally the e-mail Directory. I still need to sync up the Renter's Directory and E-mails & the Directory of Photos. Give me a few days on those please.

Please take a couple of minutes to ensure your data is correct. NO NEED TO REPLY TO ME UNLESS THERE IS AN ISSUE.

Not sure if anybody notice, but I hadn't had the time to update the Web site since March and, believe me, I will never go that long again without synching up with the Office. There's way to much Buying, Selling and Relocating going on at Sunshine !!!!

The SEPO Board voted via e-mail on July 6, 2022 to update the 'Property and Yard Maintenance' section of the SEPO Policies & Procedures. See below for the changes. Formal approval of this update via Board vote will be an Agenda item for the next Regular Board Meeting on TBD.

REMINDER: ROCK PAINTING CLUB is meeting the 11th of July, this coming Monday!

I've invited a member of Harlingen Rocks to demonstrate painting flowers on rocks with brushes, blending colors for the flowered rocks etc. Also, there will be periodic free raffles throughout the 2-hour class! I will be on vacation next Mon thru Thu (July 11 thru 14). During this time I will have limited (if at all) access to the sepoenews e-mail system. If you know of any e-mail you might want sent during this timeframe, please send it to me before 7 PM this Sunday and I will get it sent out. If you have an emergency next week, I will do my best to get it sent as quickly as I can.     Thanks for your understanding.

And now, that being said: If anyone is interested in learning how to send SEPO e-mails please give me a call. I will need someone to cover me during two future vacations I have planned that will take me out of the country for  about 2 wks in duration each. They will be in Nov 2022 and again in April/May 2023. I can teach you the basics for sending simple e-mails, which is very simple in iteself. Simple means those that don't involve Web site updates and linking to files. And remember, if I can't get someone to back me up - nobody will get any e-mails while I'm gone. Thx in advance for someone's / anyone's help with this.

There is currently an outbreak of grub worms on the golf course and in owners’ yards. SEPO has moved forward with the grub worm Issue on the golf course.

Most of you have gone thru this before. But for those of you who are new to Sunshine - in 2022, and especially since mid-March (which is the last time I did this verification) - WELCOME, and I need your help. And for those of you who are NOT new, I need your help as well.

Not sure who uses or who has even noticed that the SEPO Directory on the Web site is several months old. Although I've been collecting updates, both from the SEPO Office and from residents since Mid-March, I just haven't had the time to do what I've been doing these last two days. And that is to prepare the updated Resident Directory (sorted by Name) and the Resident E-mail directory for all of you to review.

I'm asking everyone to PLEASE just take a minute or two to look at the data I have listed for you in the two files linked to below. I plan to update the Web site with these files this weekend on Sunday.

If you have no updates/correction, you do not need to reply. However, if you do, please get them to me ASAP.

Former longtime resident 1916 Indiana Cr - Ruth Dinges Marquardt passed away July 4th morning peacefully. 

The service will be this Saturday July 9th 530pm at  St Paul Lutheran Church

Her son Dan Dinges will be reading. 
 
She will then go home to Illinois for her Funeral on Saturday July 16th.

Sent 2022-07-05: Mosquito Spraying on Golf Course on July 6, 2022 - 

Tomorrow, Wednesday July 6, we will be spraying the golf course for mosquitos between 6 AM and 8 AM. We will be spraying at this time for a couple of weeks to see if this is a better timeframe for spraying.

Please be aware with regards to yourselves and your pets. Any lingering effects should dissipate by the evening.
