We will have a food drive to benefit the SONshine ministries next Thursday.

 

There will be a pickup truck parked at the hall starting at 1pm, which is 1 hour before the Thanksgiving dinner. You can bring any donations that you have at that time. If you are not going to be here at Thanksgiving and wish to donate, then please contact me and I will take your donation ahead of time.

 

Here are some items that are needed - 

• Canned meat

• Canned tomatoes

• Canned beans

• Ramen noodles

• Soups

• Bouillon

• Shelf stable milk

• Rice

• Beans

• Canned fruit

• Peanut butter

• Dinners in a box

• Toilet paper

• Basic toiletries.

This is a reminder that Friday from 5:00 - 6:00 pm we will have the SONshine ministries food drive at the hall.

 

Here are some ideas for items to donate:

• Canned meat - tuna, chicken, etc

• Canned tomatoes

• Canned beans

• Ramen noodles

• Soups

• Chicken bouillon

• Salt (no pepper)

• Shelf stable milk

• Rice

• Beans

• Canned fruit

• Peanut butter

• Meals in a can

• Dinner mixes in a box

• Toilet paper

• Basic toiletries (soap, toothpaste, etc)

Sent 2025-10-20: Halloween Food Drive -  

The food shelves at SONshine ministries are empty right now. There are many people that depend on getting a little extra help just to make sure their families have enough food to eat each day. SONshine ministries was founded right here in SEPO and they impact a lot of lives by helping to meet these needs. They need our help to replenish their inventory so they can continue to care for people that are in need of food.

 

We will have a food drive on Halloween just before Karaoke. Please bring any donations that you have to the hall between 5:00 - 6:00. Bill Petersen will be at the hall with his pickup truck. Bring your donations to his truck. Our goal will be to fill his truck!

 

If you have donations and are not able to get to the hall at this time, please contact Bill directly.
